This T&B fine jewelry collection is inspired by the Victorian Language of Flowers, where different flowers were used to represent and communicate feelings in a time when proper etiquette discouraged open displays of emotion. Gifting certain flowers with hidden meanings was an acceptable way to communicate feelings of love, friendship and even distaste. Gift a Daffodil to celebrate new beginnings, a purple Hyacinth to ask for forgiveness, Lilacs for new love or even Basil to express hatred. Flower meanings were taken from many places, including literature, mythology and religion. Victorians took the Language of Flowers concept and applied it to jewelry as well, giving tokens of affection that would last.
